Vahan Yatra......

The only the auto expo in southern India of any considerable significance. Well, where else could it happen, Bangalore, the city where the passion for for fast cars and stylish bikes matches it's thirst for technology.
A visit to the venue makes to feel , "Are so many Bangaloreans hooked to automobiles". In a city where every third person is a IT professional, the response to such an event is remarkable.
Vahan Yatra.....there is nothing outlandish to the event as it name itself, but brings to you all the latest cars and bikes in town.

The organizers have tried to every bit to showcase the event in lines of the top Auto Shows across the globe, but definitely a far cry.
All car that have made entry into the market in the later half of 2007 and those making a debut in the early part of 2008 are on display in various stalls allocated to the manufacturers.
The touch of attraction to the show would definitely have to be stall babes, novice in every sense, one look at these girls makes you feel sorry them. Posing beside these lavish vehicles and talking to people seems nothing less than an ordeal to these inexperienced girls. Perhaps the organizers should have paid more detail in this regard.
The stall that drew the most crowd was that of Skoda and the Yamaha. The Yamaha R1 standing in all it'd glory, the one stall to be photographed the most.

Definitely worth a visit, but do not expect to much out of it. If your are automobile buff, there is something for you at the various accessories stalls put up.
On the other hand, if you are a person who does not share passion and prefers to be driven around, trust me, a visit to Vahan Yatra is a evening well spent.
