Umerkot

One of the few places in Bangalore to serve authentic Mughlai cuisine. Umerkot, famous for receipes popularized by the Khansamas or Royal Chefs at the Muazarfirkhanas of the Great Emperor Akbar. Umerkot being the birth place of Emperor Akbar, there is a sense of tradition in every delicacy that is served here.
Setup in an in ancient bunglow, the decor has all the grandeur that is synonym to any modern day patronized theme restaurant.A very aptly designed bar beckons even the most austere of tea totallers.
A definite must try is the Ghost dum Biryani, every bit tradtional and mughlai. The extraordinary creativity of the Khansamas is what Umerkot stands by and can be seen and savoured in every bite of the unadultrated Indian Traditional cuisine.
A visit to Umerkot will cost anywhere between Rs 1000 - 1500 for a two person meal. Most defeinitely worth the money.

Umerkot....a culinary journey of Authentic Indian cuisine.
